Tommy's Place SMS Messaging Program
Tommy's Place sends text messages to families who are referred to us by their hospital and who agree to receive them.
What messages we send
- A text letting you know we received your referral and that a guest questionnaire is waiting for you
- Reminders to complete the questionnaire
- Updates about choosing and booking a week at our homes, and about your stay
How many messages
Message frequency varies. You will get a few messages while you complete the questionnaire and book a week.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages. Reply HELP for help. You can also email info@tommysplace.org.
Consent
You agree to receive these texts by checking the consent box on the hospital referral form. Consent to text messages is not a condition of receiving help or services from Tommy's Place. We can reach you by email or phone instead.
Your information
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes. We use your phone number only to contact you about your stay at Tommy's Place. The information families give us is used only to arrange stays and is not shared except with the service providers that help us send messages and run our booking system (for example our text messaging provider), who may use it only for that purpose.
